FOUNDATIONS OF CWAYS HOME
GUIDE OF THE HEART TRAINING PROGRAM

“Every day, every minute, every breath, is a gift.”

ABOUT THE TRAINING

The CWays Home Guide of the Heart training program was established in 2018 and is a singlar opportunity to support your awakening into wholeness, of full loving presence. The course is unlike any other we have found, because you are being held for 3 years with someone who has thirty years of experience. Not only will you develop the skills and knowledge to be able too work with people in a diverse range of ways, your experiences will increase your capacity to love, to trust yourself and your community.

You will experience directly the profoundly sacred processes of transformation of pain into pleasure, into wholeness and understand that there is an end to past suffering. As we explore the application of botanicals, and ancient and indigenous traditions, you will gain a deep appreciation for the many ways Nature’s intelligence communicates with us.

The structure of the training focusses on ways to internalize sacred knowledge so that you can spontaneously access a diversity of experiential tools of transformation. People in trauma, people seeking to grow, people in service in the world, they all need to be deeply heard, witnessed and respected for the complex beings they are. Through the training experience, your service, in whatever form it takes, will reflect your presence, reflecting who you are, rather than what you can do for others. This creative expression of your deepest Self becomes the foundation of your relationships with yourself and with clients and, friends and family.

This training is a gateway to The CWays Home community, a growing community of people of service.  We are developing a living repository of transformational tools on behalf of future generations who will surely need as many pathways into wholeness that we can muster. Each trainee is invited to collaborate with us during and after the training course, through ongoing mentorship, maturation guidance, exchange of new ideas, sharing research and development of new awakening tools, mutually beneficial business relationships, and care of each other. The structure of these evolving relationships is based on the mycelial consciousness that underpins all life on this Earth and appreciates the wisdom of our elders and our youth, of multiple cultures and dimensions of Being.

The intake for the programs in December for March commencement. People interested in training must experience at least one live event or training module with Namae prior to submitting an application.

“The three years I have been in the CWays training has been nothing short of life changing. After living the majority of my life in some version of hell, it’s a sincere blessing to have a redefinition of myself and what is possible within in the world when you say yes to life.

There is not a day that goes by that I don’t use the tools that Namae has presented. Being a part of this group and having the skills to show up for the broader community is one of the greatest honors of my life.”

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

This training is designed to complement the many science and knowledge based and regulatory training programs that are already widely available and it is recommended that you attend at least one such course before applying for this program. This is an advanced course of altered states experiential facilitation processes.

This program is suitable for:

  • practitioners, artists and guides
  • those wishing to extend their experience of assisted psychotherapy and non-ordinary states practices
  • service orientated people – nurses, midwives, hospice carers and religious community leaders, sacred sexuality practitioners, first responders, environmental and social innovators, teachers, and people who wish to learn how to guide from the heart.

There are 5 main applications for the training:

  • FACILITATORS: For people who wish to guide others through initiatory and deep transformational, experiential processes.
  • TRAINERS: As the program grows, there are opportunities for people to join in teaching segments of the program.
  • CWAYS HOME PROGRAM DEVELOPERS: Our organization has many possible fruiting bodies – identifiable epicenters of knowledge and experience that are available as community resources.
  • PERSONAL HEALING: There are a few spaces each year for people who wish to do a deep dive into their own healing within the generous and caring container of the training program. Attendance at retreats is required but the homework and assignments are voluntary.
  • MYSTERY: There are a few folks who wish to do the training for reasons other than the above, who love this work or who do not yet know why, but they need to be here. We respect the need for the Mystery and that all will unfold in time.

WHO THIS PROGRAM IS NOT FOR: There are certain medical, emotional and spiritual conditions that make this program too challenging or may not supportive of your safety and that of others.   See What Happens in Breathwork Sessions. If this is the case, you will be referred to other practitioners.

“I am a master mediator, social worker, and spiritual seeker who has participated in a significant amount of learning and skill-building experiences.  I have found the CWays training program to be a unique and valuable experience unlike anything else.  I appreciate the combination of body-heart-mind knowledge.

The training has touched all aspects of who I am, leading to the deep integration of my life experiences and profound compassion for myself & others. I have acquired practical, effective skills to assist others on a professional level.  The training has heightened and inspired my intuition as a teacher, guide, friend, and partner.”

FOUNDING PRINCIPLES:

     1) A journey towards wholeness

     2) Awakening

     3) Ecology of change

     4) Presence as the catalyst

     5) Reciprocal learning

     6) Play-full learning

     (1) JOURNEY OF WHOLENESS:

  • The program is designed on the premise that you are already whole and that all the experiences of your life have some value; they have made you who you are now.
  • It is not what happens that matters, it is what you do with what happens that truly matters.
  • Through the exploration of core wounds, very small adjustments in awareness create obvious, permanent and, at times, dramatic changes in people’s lives. Trainees come into alignment and decide to live from the deepest, soulful sense of Self, in service to the Self and others.
  • We humans, as a species, are all the same. We all need to be loved. We all need to be able to love. The training invites you to dance in acceptance of the dualities of this Earthly existence and dissolve the illusions of separation.
  • Love is the way Home.

     (2) AWAKENING THE INNER HEALER ~ it is inherent

CWays Home acknowledges that the potential for the healing of trauma and suffering is natural and innate to every one of us. With the safety of a loving, deep, container and a skilled, experienced and attentive guide, we can awaken the healer within ourselves more quickly, and find our own way Home. We need each other to reflect and remember our intrinsic nature, the aspects of us that know how to heal and enliven us. This is the process of awakening, with the side benefits of healing.

     (3) ECOLOGY OF CHANGE ~ Shifting perspectives, respect growth and decay cycles, diversity of skills, you are whole, be creative:

  • By shifting the perspective of clients from being broken, wounded or in need of healing, our approach recognizes that we all are as diverse, interconnected and complex as the ecology of any natural ecosystem. It is then a case of supporting the evolution of whatever cycles of expansion or contraction, of growth and decay a person is experiencing in their life.
  • We invite you to develop the ability to delve underneath what is immediately presented by clients and see the inherent growth and decay cycles within each person’s inner landscapes and in their outer environments. This approach supports us to respect all stages of life, not just the youthful, expansion cycles, the perpetual growth attitude inherent in our patriarchal culture. We cherish the preverbal wisdom of babies, the mature understandings of our elders, the deep slow comprehension of introverts and artists and the quick insights of our brilliant youth.
  • A great diversity of knowledge, skills and responses are required to meet each person’s mysterious, labyrinthine inner ecology and the complexity of all their relationships in their outer life.
  • Whilst there are obviously therapeutic benefits that happen as a result of the methodologies taught in this program; the training diverges from traditional therapeutic approaches in so far as we know you are already whole. There is nothing wrong with you.
  • The teachings are designed to evoke the artistry of your own creative engagement and awaken your full capacity to love.

   (4) PRESENCE AS THE CATALYST ~ capacity for change, loving presence:

By developing your spontaneity, deep caring and play in relationship with those you work with, you develop the emotional agility and dexterity to be able to meet each person’s uniqueness.

  • Some people are born into a world full of possibilities. Others take a long time to realize they are not dead, that life is more than just surviving, coping and keeping themselves small.
  • Each person’s mosaic of relationships, their willingness, timing and intricate life support systems make it impossible to predict when deep transformation will happen. All we can do is provide healthy epigenetic environment, filled with acceptance and love, opening fields of possibilities in which change becomes more attractive than suffering.
  • The training is founded on the idea that the greatest gift any facilitator can bring to their service is the fullness of loving presence, where the balance of awareness is both within the body and in the world. This is the place of the most generous permission, a place of non-judgement that allows a person to relax and be guided by their own inner healer. It provides space for the Grace to happen.

     (5) RECIPROCAL LEARNING:

The fundamental philosophy behind the training is that we all can learn from each other so we learn together rather than following the medical/therapeutic models of hierarchal dominance and exclusivity. The continual mycelial like exchange of information in both directions is what Life does, so we mimic Nature’s processes. Students from all levels of training have ample opportunities to work and learn together.

  (6) PLAY-FULL LEARNING ~ internal knowledge, physical and emotional expression, individual agency and the collective, releasing identities:

  • The information about transformational processes is supported by a myriad of experiential processes so that you internalize knowledge and enjoy (or learn to enjoy) the process.
  • Reliance on external devices and technology is balanced with practices that encourage inner resourcefulness, interconnectedness and inner wisdom.
  • Physical expression and emotional agility is encouraged and past hurt and traumas are worked with in sessions rather than being recreated and acted out in community.
  • Each person’s individual agency is respected whilst balancing consequences and the needs of the whole group.
  • By releasing attachment to personal identities, we embrace the wisdom and perspectives inherent in your soul. The play between all these aspects makes for less stress, greater creativity and innovation, and allows the wonder to return to the wounded heart.

PROGRAM COMMITMENTS

Only those people who can commit to the whole initial year will be accepted as there is limited capacity and we cannot replace those students who drop out after we begin. Your departure form the program will have a deep effect on your cohort members and your teachers, so think carefully about what you can and cannot realistically commit to. Invitations are sent out for classes starting early Spring; the training year finishes the following Spring and Fall. Each applicant is assessed based on a written and creative initial intake projects. There are health requirements that need to be considered as some processes can be physically and emotionally challenging.

While each year is a contained curriculum, you may take a break between years to internalize and  assimilate the knowledge and tend your personal and professional growth needs.

WHY USE ALTERED STATES?

As Einstein said, “You cannot resolve a problem at the level at which it was created.” Our “normal” consciousness is deeply imbedded in separation and duality. When we change the state of our consciousness, we can open to a much deeper understanding of what it means to be a natural human being. It is from this place of awareness that we create the most innovative, practical and generous solutions to our problems.

Altered states traditionally have been created through meditation, breathing techniques, herbal supplements, prayer, fasting, sensory deprivation, sexual practices, dance and bioenergetic movements, drugs, light and electronic mind-altering technologies. When we change the state of our consciousness from our ordinary, fixed mindset, duality reality and open to the novelty, beauty and diversity of altered states, we can learn how to shift perception more easily in daily life. This mobility gives us access to novel solutions to old situations, supports the permanent healing of trauma and returns us to a state of wholeness.

In this program, you will develop the dexterity to be able to shift perspectives in order to facilitate in an integral manner, fully appreciating the complex ecology of each human being you touch. There will be many different breathing techniques and herbal supplements to create cathartic as well as ecstatic experiences.

EXPERIENTIAL MODALITIES:

  • CWays Home Breathwork is one of the primary modality for the experiential component of the training course, as it offers the most potent, effective and diverse range of transformational experiences
  • Direct connection with the spiritual potency of Nature through the use of herbal and natural supplements, and adaptogens.
  • Meditations ranging from traditional silent sitting practices to guided experiences and dynamic movements, sound and ecstatic meditations
  • Self-inquiry techniques that can be used with clients when you have mastered them
  • Somatic awareness and integration – movement, permission to fully express feelings and emotions, ecstatic dance and movement practices to extend the range of emotional agility and balance
  • Awareness of the sacredness of sexuality in all of its expressions, with practices to make the life force conscious and sexual expression more integral
  • Experiential work with mandalas, dreams, symbols, the Collective, the Tarot as symbols and images of the collective journey, archetypes and transpersonal realms, valuing creativity vs art
  • Integration processes to enhance maturity, connectivity and service with Self, the world and all relationships, in all aspects of life. Emphasis is on grounding ecstatic, cathartic and transpersonal states into ordinary life
  • Journaling, free flow writing and the use of music, media, art, literature, poetry, personal and mythic stories to shift identification from the fixed mindset to the flexibility, incisiveness of the whole Self and other cultures
  • Diverse ways to alter consciousness to create peak performance and flow states

CERTIFICATION

You will receive certification from CWays Home for each stage of the training, reflecting the hours of your experience and the training you have attended. Certification level is based on individual assessment of your attendances, assignments, experience and aptitude for internalizing the transformational knowledge and tools. Through conversation and Self awareness, we come to mutual agreement about the modalities you feel comfortable practicing and that your trainers agree you are competent to practice. Full Certification as a member of CWays Home Group is based on overall performance and reciprocity.

CWays Home is working to become accredited with several international training organizations. We see the demand for trained and experienced guides growing exponentially over the next few years as legislation changes and we attempt to deal with the widespread PTSD accumulated through the pandemic and social upheavals.
