RESOURCES

BOOKS, MUSIC, MOVIES & WEBSITES

Many people ask me for suggestions of music, reading materials, movies and internet resources to support them on their journey and to integrate their experiences. The following are my personal favorites, rich in images, the meaning of life and the ways of love. It is by no means an up to date or comprehensive list, so if there are resources you think should be on this list, please let me know.

Books

The foundation of this work is discovery of the ways in which we create our selves and our experiences of life. So stories, both our own and others, are an important part of our studies.

The most instructive genre of books for me is fantasy and science fiction. Imagination feeds the soul and teaches us how to imagine ourselves and how to create our lives anew. Magic and alternative realities open us to the possibilities that lie hidden within our creative potential. I have seen many examples of fantastic ideas that millions of people have read in fantasy books over time, which now exist in this material world.

I know there is a place for self help books but I am not a big fan of the genre. I prefer the literature and stories of the mystic masters and those who have walked the paths of love and transformation.

Some of my favorite authors are Patricia A. McKillip, Michelle Sagara West, Anne Bishop, Robin Hobb, Sherri S. Tepper, Guy Gavriel Kay, Eugie Foster, Juliet Marillier, Alan Dean Foster, Piers Anthony, Anne Rice, Charles de Lint, Christopher Paolini, Diane Setterfield, Katya Reimann, Neil Gaiman, Robin McKinley, Megan Lindholm, Mercedes Lackey, A.A.Attanasio, Pamela Freeman, Rachael Neumeier, Roger Zelazny, Elizabeth Cunningham, Theodore Sturgeon, Midori Snyder.

Music

Music plays a strong part in creating an energetically and emotionally supportive environment in this work. I am happy to share information about the music I play in sessions – much of it is obscure and from other countries.

I simply ask that you purchase the music yourself rather than asking me to allow you to copy or have my playlists. I feel it is important that we honor those incredible people who so enrich our lives with their music by paying them fully for their creativity.

My current favorite place to explore and purchase music is bandcamp.com.

Here are a few of my current favorites on YouTube:

Movies

Films present a powerful medium for education, healing and the study of our evolution in consciousness. I use movies to illustrate many aspects of the ways we can understand ourselves and each other, to open to memories and feelings and to create images that allow us to re-create ourselves and our relationships.
